Turkington for HiQ fans night - 9th May 2008

Team RAC star Colin Turkington will meet fans at HiQ’s Southampton Road centre in Salisbury next Thursday night (15 May) ahead of his British Touring Car Championship rounds at Thruxton three days later.

Turkington will welcome enthusiasts from 6.30pm-8.30pm, signing autographs and answering questions about what it takes to become one of the best drivers in Britain’s premier motor racing championship.

HiQ is expected to announce a second BTCC driver will join Turkington soon.

The event is the fourth motor sport forum that BTCC title sponsor HiQ will have staged. Admission is free and enthusiasts are also treated to food and drink and a touring car simulator game to get them in the mood ahead of the BTCC’s big race weekend in their area.

Those attending on the night will enter a draw to win tickets to see Thruxton’s BTCC action on Sunday 18 May.

HiQ’s BTCC spokesman Neil Burrows said: “We are really going all out for our most successful event yet and we want as many people to attend as possible.

“Our motor sport forums give people the chance to learn about HiQ, the BTCC and a chance to speak to some of the star drivers. We are delighted to be staging one at our Salisbury store and we can’t wait to kick-off the event.”

HiQ Salisbury, situated on Southampton Road, is a purpose built automotive specialist dedicated to providing the highest quality products and servicing for motorists and their vehicles. The store provides a dedicated fast fit service fully geared to meeting the needs of a comprehensive range of cars and light commercial vehicles.
