A-Tech Racing was formed specifically to run the Alfa 156s of David Pinkney and Richard Marsh during the 2007 BTCC season. Both men decided to pool their resources and create a bespoke racing team that can compete at the highest level.
Former BTCC racer, Gary Ayles acted as consultant between A-Tech and Alfa Romeo officials in Italy.
Operating from headquarters in Daventry, Northamptonshire,
A-Tech Racing employs a number of experienced motor racing professionals to oversee its racing activities. Julian Griffin, a vastly-experienced engineer and team manager at all levels in the national motorsport arena, is the team principal.
The team struggled to get a consistent pace from the Alfas on the dunlop tyres, which are of a different construction to those used in the WTCC. For 2008 A-Tech have moved into the British GT Championship, former BTCC ace Anthony Reid will partner Richard Marsh in a Ferrari 430.
