Team Dynamics are a massively experienced team who have been running cars in the BTCC since 1992. During the super-touring era Matt Neal became known as the peoples champion, taking on the might of many works teams with his independently run Nissan Primera. In 1999 he took an emotional first win for an independent at Donington Park and received a £250,000 prize
as a result.
In 2005 they took the inspired choice to build and run the aerodynamic Honda Integras, they built these cars using the running gear from the Honda Civics used in 2004. These Integras where the class of the field, they have great top end speed, handling, are seemingly unaffected by ballast and have great reliability, in 2005 and 2006 they won every championship they contended, drivers, teams and independent teams. Matt Neal became the first independent to win the championship outright
and then in 2006 the first to win back-to-back titles since Chris Hodgetts in 1987.
For 2007 the team built their own s2000 spec Honda Civic, amazingly this took a race win in its first race meeting, despite
the fact the team had only begun testing around a week before!
As the car was developed during the year it picked up even more pace. A bad accident at Brands Hatch ruled Neal out from competing in a number of rounds; his chance of the championship was gone. In the sister car Shedden faired better, taking 4 wins.
In 2008 Shedden remains with the team, hoping to have a better start to the year than the previous two seasons. Matt Neal has left his family run team for VX Racing. Tom Chilton will race the second car, the Civic should suit his driving style.
